  34. Smooth Editor is a DOS text editor with FAST smooth scrolling and complete 
  35. Windows(R) interface.

  51. Troubleshooting:
  52. ----------------
  53. If you have a slow system and you're experiencing trouble with smooth 
  54. scrolling, you should start Smooth Editor up with the /1 command-line option. 
  55. This should solve the problem.

  58. Uninstalling Smooth Editor
  59. --------------------------
  60. If you want to remove Smooth Editor from your computer, you can just delete 
  61. the directory it's in. Smooth Editor leaves no data or code in other parts of 
  62. the system.

  65. Whatsnew

  67. Version 2.0:
  68. -Complete Windows(R) interface
  69.     If you execute the SEWIN.EXE program from Windows, Smooth Editor can 
  70.     copy/cut/paste from and to Windows Applications, you can drag and drop 
  71.     filenames from the File Manager and when you exit Windows, Smooth 
  72.     Editor will close down like other Windows applications, with a Save 
  73.     File query if necessary.
  74. -Macro's
  75.     You can record, name, save and play back ten different macros.
  76. -True Tabs
  77.     Tabs keep their position also when the text in front of them is 
  78.     changed.
  79. -Smart Word Wrapping
  80.     Wrapping also works with Delete, if there is no 'hard return' words 
  81.     will be wrapped back when there is enough space.
  82. -Justify function
  83.     This function joins lines within paragraphs to make neatly wrapped 
  84.     text.

  86.     Use SE/? for more details.
  87. -Text viewing mode
  88.     Because of Smooth Scrolling, SE is very well suited as a text viewer.
  89. -Improved color customization
  90.     There new are separate choices for the colors in the palette and the 
  91.     usage of these colors in the program.
  92. -Startup options
  93.     The SE.INI now has options to set startup modes.
  94. -Immediate interpretation of SE.INI
  95.     When SE.INI is saved, the program can execute the settings 
  96.     immediately, making it easier to customize the program.

  99. -A large number of small improvements and a couple of bugfixes.
  100. -The file COLORS.TXT is included with Smooth Editor. This file contains a
  101.     couple of premade color configurations.

  111. This version will not work together with the old SE.INI file. The old SE.INI 
  112. must be deleted or renamed. Sorry.

  117. To see the demonstration, make sure the SE.INI is not in the path or in the 
  118. program directory. If it is you can just delete it, since SE will create a new 
  119. one with all the default values. When you now start SE, it will ask you if you 
  120. want to see the demo.

  150. Smooth Editor is released as Shareware. After a thirty day trial period, you 
  151. must register Smooth Editor or discontinue using it. If you register Smooth 
  152. Editor you will receive a registration code. With this code you can convert 
  153. Smooth Editor to a registered copy, removing the shareware nag (the swinging 
  154. text when you close SE). Registration is for this and all future versions of 
  155. Smooth Editor. One registered copy of Smooth Editor may be used by a single 
  156. person on one or more computers (this does not apply to site licenses). You 
  157. will also receive a 3.5" disk with the latest version of Smooth editor. For 
  158. more information about registration see the REGISTER.TXT file.
